Minutes of the April 13, 2008 Regular Meeting

President Eric Bradshaw called the meeting to order at 2:00pm.He pointed the fire exits out to the membership.

Sgt. at Arms Don Trzepacz led the membership in the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

Bob Carnceross did the invocation.
There was a moment of silence for Pete Frazon Jr.
Motion to accept the minutes of the last meeting including corrections was made by Pete Frazon 2nd by Michael Delemer Motion carried

Report of Recording Secretary Wendi Walker
She read her report.

Report of Treasurer David Wolf:
He read his report.
Motion to accept was made by Bill Bush 2nd by Doug Wright carried.

President’s report by Eric Bradshaw
He went to Albany with Mark Kasperzac for sectionals meeting.

First Vice President Leo Grenier - No report

Second Vice President Mark Kasprzak - No report
Committee Reports
 1st Vice President Leo Grenier took over the meeting

Trustee Report: Promo Biscaro 6 trustees present.

Bowling Committee:Marc Kaspezak Bowling tournament was a success There was a profit of $1900.00.

Local Committee Eric Bradshaw No report.

Budget & Program Book: Bob Walker had a few complaints that were taken care of. It is slow getting pledges.

Bylaws Committee: By Paul Olhmier no bylaws were submitted.

Convention Committee: Beth Bennet no report.

EMS Committee: Reported by Brian Hill Applications are going out.

Explorer/Junior Firefighter Committee: Report by Forrest Skelton working on data. Base Mailing going out.

Fireman of the Year Committee: Reported by Harold Wollaber certificates are being set up and sent to president all set to go there was on nomination for heroism.

Fire Officers Committee: Reported by Harold Wallaber working with local committee.
There will be a program on Friday 2:00pm at convention.

Fire Police Committee: Reported by Jenni Corser reported that Fire Police was selected Seminar to take place on Saturday at 9:00 AM and competition to take place at 1:00 AM. She Thanked Carl Meyers for filling in.

Fire Prevention Committee: by Shrily Lannie reports are out.

Historical Committee: Reported by Frank Wilzac any information for museum wanted.

Investment & Finance Committee: Reported by Dave Wolf nothing.

Legislative Committee: Report given by Bruce Isaman there was no attendance at the March legislative meeting except committee. There will be a meeting at Shawnee Mat 3rd Bob Carncross reported on bills in state assembly. He spoke on firefighter who drowned in Allegheny county and denied death benefits. Information is on web site.

Memorial Scholarship Committee:  Report by Tim Wolfanger dead line is April 21st For entries Meeting in Alexander April 21st to pick winners.

Nominations Committee: Report by Forest Skelton wants nominations for open offices In by June

Nozzle Practice Committee: By Doug Wright all set.

Parade Committee: Report by Jack Hurlbert all set

Past Presidents Committee: Report given by Forrest Skelton dinner all set He read List of past presidents in attendence.

President’s Participation Award: No Report.

Public Relations Committee: Report by Stanley MacWilliams looking for information To put in FASNY magazine.

Queen’s Pageant Committee: Report by Sarah Eddy applications are going out.

Resolutions Committee: No Report.

Topics Committee: No report

2 % Tax Committee: No report

Web Site Committee: by Eric Bradshaw getting information for web site Forms are On Albionís web site for convention.

Liaison:

Northern Central: Gerald Hendrickson Convention in Pennyan June 6th

Southwestern: Robert Hintz Last meeting was canceled due to snow. Next Meeting April 20th Fairport.

Local Committee Eric Bradshaw information on website. www.albionnyfd.com Motion to accept reports of committees was made by Eric Bradshaw 2nd by Pete Frazon carried.

Firemen’s Home Report: Report by Norm Eberly Problems with building are being taken care of. Also a lot of work is being done on fire grounds and parking lots and new fencing in front. There are 88 residents in home.

New & Unfinished Business: A letter from FASNY for pledge on hospitality room for 300.00 dollars Motion by Tim Wolfanger 2nd by Bob Carncross carried. Motion was made by Jack Hurlbert to allow the host compant to charge 1.00 for badges and 2.00 for ones with medallions 2nd ? carried Mike Wutz opposed.
Jenney Corser asked if South Western could share fire police equipment for training August 2nd on an annual basis replacing any equipment as needed. She made it as a motion 2nd by Allan Way. After a brief discussion motion carried 1 opposed.

Good of the Organization Bill Nichols stated that there will be a dinner May 3rd For past FASNY presidents and honoring fireman of the year. He also spoke on convention in Rochester in August.

Applications for golf and October fest are available.

Mike Wutz spoke on state budget there will likely be cuts in training. He spoke on up coming convention. There will be a legislative seminar at Shawnee May 3rd

Project Fifty books are available. May 10th media training day at Erie County center on Broadway.

Mark Kasperzac read list of guests present.

Sargent at Arms Don Trecpacz 88 members and guests present.
